775 Amsterdam

As a new-build home, circa 2020, the owners of 775 Amsterdam made some tweaks just after moving into this house to make it their very own. With a homey, whimsical and colorful interior, no space is left untouched by the love that went into this house.

As DIY specialists, this couple added wallpaper throughout, removed a butler’s pantry to turn the space into more storage and added a wine display. They added a wood ceiling in the kitchen to match the exterior porches, and changed the screened in back porch into a sliding glass door.

The owners wish their home to be inviting and hope their self-made haven will make friends and family want to stay a while. Additionally, walkers-by have always been amazed at their holiday decor. It’s a holiday marvel indeed!

Directions

From the corner of North Highland and Virginia Ave, head north on North Highland Avenue. Turn left onto Amsterdam Ave (right after the post office). 775 is on the corner of Amsterdam and Highland Terrace. This is about a 15 min walk (0.7 mile).
